Parc at Duluth resident and WWII airman Harry Sanger relived his airborne dream last week as he flew in an open-air cockpit replica biplane out of Atlanta’s Dekalb-Peachtree Aeroport. Mr. Sanger climbed to two thousand feet as his chums and fellow residents of the Gwinnett-area retirement community distributing press releases looked on from the 57th Fighter Group Eatery patio. The flight took him to nearby Stone Mountain Park and back. An Air Force navigator and first lieutenant, Mr. After the army shipped him to California for pilot coaching where he spent time doing aerobatics in a Stearman biplane. Parc at Duluth director Jan Robbs received a reduction e-mail for biplane flights at Dekalb-Peachtree Aeroport and recalled that Mr. Sanger dreamed about one day flying again.

Robbs spoke of Mr. Sanger with the highest regard stating, “He is a true patriot.” . Sanger asserted.

“You could see fine (regardless of patchy clouds) .. The side of Stone Mountain from the air really is something.” . About Parc Communities .
